BLACKBIRD INITATIVE

At Shadow Lair®, we are committed to fostering energy sovereignty for tribal lands across the United States through our innovative off-grid energy solution, “Blackbird.” This advanced technology is designed to independently provide reliable power to thousands of homes in tribal communities that remain disconnected from the traditional electrical grid. By empowering these communities with the ability to generate their own energy in a quickly deployable and mobile capacity, Blackbird enables a sustainable and self-sufficient future, enhancing quality of life while preserving cultural values and independence.

The scalability of Blackbird allows it to be tailored to the specific energy demands of individual households on tribal lands, ensuring that each family has access to the power they need without relying on centralized sources. The first deployment of Blackbird took place in December 2025 as part of Project Blackbird in Thoreau, New Mexico on the Navajo Reservation driven with the support of Navajo Nation President Buu Van Nygren.  The Blackbird initiative not only highlights the potential for renewable energy in remote areas but also serves as a model for future installations across tribal lands nationwide.
